Emerald Bay, known as Lake Tahoe’s Crown Jewel, displays a beauty that is unrivaled, changing dramatically from day to day, season to season. There’s always something different yet equally exquisite to be seen. On this morning I was gifted perfectly still conditions, creating a dazzling sunrise reflected off mirror-smooth water as Fannette Island cast a flawless silhouette.  The work is aptly named Valhalla, as those who visit this spot quickly learn that it is truly Heaven on Earth.
